Romania May 21-31 Host VBS & Prayer Outreach and Assist in building Church Dormitories

The team member fee is only $2785 and includes round-trip airfare, any in-country flights, most meals, ground transportation, hotel and host lodging, admission to sightseeing attractions such as the Palace of the Parliament, the Black Sea, and Dracula's Castle, as well as some of the VBS and building materials related to the project. Your team will assist with much-needed indoor projects for a community center and church serving seven villages in rural Romania. We will also assist local churches in hosting a highly effective, week-long VBS outreach for the communities. And our team will host prayer walks in each town! This event will kick-start the rest of your life!

COMMIT Ministries International only serves in Romania to reach out to everyone about the true Good News of God's Kingdom. Our ministry is partnering with a local church in the rural community of Lisa, Romania to help them create a community center that serves the outreach and church needs of seven rural communities. The center is one of the principle ingredients in the manner in which the church provides for the elderly and young children in the area who genuinely need to know there is a God who truly loves them! Your team will host a week long Vacation Bible School for the children in the area and provide prayer and network opportunities for other family members in attendance too. You will also participate in community prayer walks to pray in such areas as the public schools and other church settings. Past teams have witnessed dozens of young people giving their lives to Christ and have taken part in the baptisms that followed. Most people here are elderly and seldom see anyone outside of their homes but this outreach draws them in. We'll also take time to visit other churches including perhaps, a church near Rosiori de Vede that cares to reach this Gypsy village through their food outreach, food preparation, and providing training to teens with income projects that keep them from being victimized by sex trades. Our VBS groups offer the Good News while actively singing, playing soccer, and sharing themselves with the community. NO experience is needed! 

We may even find time and resources to help a rural outreach to expand their newly constructed kitchen. At the very least, we will visit them! We hope to eventually build a dining area so that even more can be done to expand this very successful outreach. This project brings people together from this community in joy or in sorrow, to share a meal, or to spend quality time together.

We pray this opportunity will come to fruition soon, since it is a great opportunity to show the love of Jesus by getting actively involved in the life of a rural community that desperately needs to know that Jesus loves them. This is something huge you can pray for and participate in, since the outreach only serves Jesus. What a great way to truly grow your faith.

After these few days spent in immersion ministry, you will have the opportunity to do a little tour of Romania starting in the Brasov area in Transylvania - the extremely beautiful mountainside of Romania, where you will visit Dracula's Castle known by the locals as the Bran Castle from the novel of Bram Stoker, and then to Constanta at the Black Sea shore and then to Bucharest where you will spend your last day visiting the House of the Parliament, the largest building ever built by the former Romanian communist leader.

Romanian Local Pastor House Repair and Maintenance, VBS-Roma Gypsy People Kitchen Church Outreach, May 11-21, 2026

Team member fee is only $2785 and includes Round Trip airfare, most of your meals, all ground transportation, hotel and host lodging, admission to sightseeing attractions such as Dracula's and Peles Castle, some of the VBS materials and building materials related to the project. We don't have any hidden costs as some others have. Your team will assist much-needed indoor and outdoor so much needed maintenance and repair works to a Local Pastor's House. We will also assist selfless, volunteers and local churches by hosting a three days-long VBS, engaging in street evangelism and prayer walk within a rural community. This will be the time of your life!

This is Pastor John Vlad. Long ago he was known as   a harsh and violent man. Almost 25 years ago, Jesus revealed Himself to John, in one of the most tense moments of his life, when he was eager for inner peace and restoration over his almost broken family. 

His life was turned upside down, and from a violent husband, he became a man of peace in his community.

He had ever since a great desire to let everyone know that the old John has passed away, and a new John, a totally changed man, was changed by Jesus Christ and ready to live for Him.

Now he is a local pastor in one of Romania's poorest and remote areas, in the Oltenia region,  in the Lisa village of the Olt Shire, the village where he was born. 

This village doesn't have a local store, the closest one is about 20 minutes long drive away. 

He has a heart for his village and for the surrounding communities, where the evangelical presence is almost none.

Alongside a group of devoted Christians from Transilvania, he is developing a local Community Center that will serve as a local canteen for the people in need, as a worship place, and as dorms for the teams that will come alongside to help in furthering the Kingdom of God.

But today, is not about the community center. Today is about John. Almost 4 months ago, he had a heart attack, a heart attack that nearly killed him. The Lord made a miracle and his life was preserved. 

There are a few options available for us to keep John alive. One is to replicate, or to clone him, the other is to work alongside him to extend the well being of his heart.

Because we are looking at the later option, I will introduce in a few images, John's house, made out of dirt and, full of cracks, in desperate need of a new roof, of a central heating system, of tile works, and outside insulation.

John's heart won't make it over the winter, if he doesn't have the same temperature across his entire house.

This is why, Commit Ministries International is extending this invitation to you, to be a part of the next team that will work at John's house.

We will also assist selfless, volunteer medical staff and local churches by hosting a week-long VBS and two days of a primary care medical outreach along one of the rural border communities. This will be the time of your life!

COMMIT Ministries International is partnering with two of the local churches and medical partners near TURNU MAGURELE to help them provide desperately-needed medical care for elderly and people with a disability near the BULGARIAN border in a small village community build around the local church. Most people here are elderly and seldom see a doctor about their physical needs. We'll also work with the local church near Rosiori de Vede to care for those reaching this Gypsy village through their food outreach and food preparation while actively singing, playing soccer, and sharing the Good News with the community. Besides a medical outreach with volunteer doctors and nurses, our team will provide a 5-day Vacation Bible School to share with even the youngest and to the teens and to the young adults. NO experience is needed! 

For the next days, you will have many opportunities in getting your hands dirty in doing indoors and outdoors light building construction work to a local Community Center Project who desperately need help with their newly constructed kitchen. We'll also help build a dining area so that even more can be done to expand thris very successful outreach. This project brings people together from this community in joy or in sorrow, to share a meal, or to spend quality time together. This is a great opportunity to show the love of Jesus getting actively involved in the life of a rural community who desperately need to know that Jesus loves them.
